Role: General Manager

MCC are a global manfacturer providing solutions to the Healthcare, Food & Beverage and Consumer Durables markets with the world’s best premium label solutions. During a growth phase it require a General Manager with a high demand skill set and set us the challenge identifying, attracting and selecting the expert that was right for them.

Process

RFC Executive began by meeting with both the CEO and the HR Director to fully understand the where they were at, as well as where the business was now and the future strategy. Our role was to advise on the path to achieving the end goal.
Part of the outcome, upon our advice, was to hire a general manager on a two year contract to replace a outgoing one.
RFC prepared a recruitment strategy including job and person specification, remuneration profile and sourcing and selection strategy. We researched all relevant companies both direct competitors and companies in a similar business to prepare a target or long list of 100+ targets. Once this was reviewed with the MCCl the short listing and initial interview selection process was conducted by RFC. This yielded a shortlist of five for first interview..

Result

Within the agreed time frame of 10 weeks a general manager was found that fitted the skill set, culture and motivational requirements initial agreed upon. The impact is yielding beyond the desired overall improvement in performance.
